Move Out Checklist

Cleaning Checklist

To avoid cleaning or repair charges, leave the unit in “rent-ready” condition:

Clean & Prepare the Property

  • General Interior

    • Remove personal items and trash.
    • Replace burned-out light bulbs.
    • Clean blinds, window sills, baseboards, and ceiling fans.
  • Kitchen

    • Clean countertops, cabinets (inside/out), sink, stove, oven, microwave, and refrigerator.
  • Bathrooms

    • Scrub sinks, tubs/showers, toilets, tile, grout, and mirrors.
  • Floors & Carpets

    • Sweep/mop floors and professionally clean carpets if required by your lease.
  • Walls & Fixtures

    • Remove cobwebs, wipe down walls, doors, and ensure no excessive marks or damage remain.
  • Outdoor Areas/Garage

    • Sweep garages, clean patios/decks, mow/edge lawns, and remove personal items.
  • Repairs & Damage

    • Complete any repairs for damage beyond normal wear and tear (broken blinds, screens, fixtures, holes larger than nail holes).
    • Do not spackle or paint touch-ups yourself unless approved — improper repairs can cost more.

Final Inspection

  • We will conduct a move-out inspection once all keys are returned and the unit is empty.

  • A comparison will be made between your move-in inspection report and the current condition of the property.

Security Deposit

  • Your deposit will be processed and mailed to you within the timeframe required by your lease and state law (30 days).

  • Deductions may be made for cleaning, repairs, unpaid rent or utilities, or missing keys.
